Beliefs
 
Faith Lutheran Church is a gathering of Christians who rejoice in Christ’s resurrection. We rejoice for a number of reasons:
  • Human beings are not born good, or even morally neutral. They are born sinful and evil. (Genesis 8:21; Psalm 14:2-3; Romans 3:9-12; Romans 3:22-23)
  • As a result of this, all of us have a great need to be rescued from this evil in us, because the end result of this evil is eternal separation from God in Hell. (John 3:18)
  • God sent his only Son to us deliver us from our sins. Jesus delivered us by never sinning even once (Hebrews 4:15). Jesus delivered us from sin and Hell by reconciling us to God through his resurrection (2 Corinthians 5:18-21).
  • We hold on to this great gift of salvation by holding on to God’s word (John 8:31; 1 Corinthians 15:2; Matthew 28:19-20). It is our great joy to gather around God’s word at home and at church to be built up in our faith. It is our great joy to share our faith with those Jesus has placed in our lives.
