Pastor Michael Krentz
Michael Craig Krentz, the second of four children of Rev. Harold and Vivian (cox) Krentz was born on July 12, 1951, in Albert Lea, MN. Michael and his three siblings lived in Chicago until 1960 when the entire family moved to the western suburb of Addison in DuPage County.
Michael graduated from Bethany Lutheran High School (ELS) in Mankato, MN. Then he attended Bethany Lutheran College (ELS) also in Mankato, MN graduating in 1971. Michael then went on to Mankato State College, graduating with a B.S. Secondary Teaching Degree in Speech and Theatre Arts in 1974. He graduated from Bethany Lutheran Theological Seminary (ELS) in 1978 with a Master of Divinity Degree.
Michael married Catherine Ann Beiswenger at River Heights Lutheran Church (ELS) in East Grand Forks, MN on September 15, 1973. Their marriage was blessed with four children: Andrew who lives in Lakeland, FL with his wife Carolyn and daughter Allison, Jacob who lives in Pensacola, FL with his wife Linda and son Gabriel. Emily who lives in Lombard, IL with her husband Mohammed and twin daughters, Catherine (Cate) and Madeline (Maddie) and Christine (Tina) who lives In Des Plaines, IL.
Michael Craig Krentz was ordained into the public ministry on June 4, 1978. Since his ordination Pastor Krentz has served the dual parish of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church of Amherst Junction and Our Savior’s Lutheran Church of Elderon, WI (ELS), the dual parish of St. Martin Lutheran Church of Shawano and St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Clintonville, WI (ELS), Lakewood Lutheran Church & School in Tacoma, WA (ELS), the dual parish of Holton Lutheran Church & School of Holton and Hesperia Lutheran Church of Hesperia, MI (ELS), and Living Savior Lutheran Church of Dubuque, IA (WELS).
